December Favorites


I have not done a Favorites post in years. I really don't know why I stopped doing them but I enjoyed them. I usually love trying new things. I just don't always share the things I like with others. But hopeful this will change! 


Last month I was able to try a lot of different things. Some of the new things I tried were gifts and some were items I purchased for myself. 

Now these items I listed are not the only things I tried in December but these are just the ones I like the most. 



Other Side CD- Walls Group

The Walls Group is a contemporary Gospel group of four siblings. 


 The Other Side is probably one of my favorite cds of all time! 
I have been waiting to get this CD for over a year! That is why I was so excited when my sister gave it took me as a gift.  I heard most of the songs on radio or Youtube and instantly loved them. 
Their single My Life is the first song on the album. Which is a smart move since it was their single and probably most popular song. 

 The message of My Life resonates with me because I feel people often judge others based on their appearance instead of their actions or heart.  

 My other favorite song is And It Don't Stop. It reminds me of how good God is and how He never changes. 

 Good, Word, and Don't Cha are the three other songs that I put on repeat often. They remind of the older songs that I use to listen to as a child. 

 The song Good reminds of the gospel music my grandfather loved. Word sounds like it the Blues  inspired soul songs my father played on his record player. Don't Cha has the 80s or early 90s Hip Hop.

 The entire CD was filled with inspirational and soulful messages and singing. 



Philosophy Coconut Frosting Shine

I never tried Philosophy lip care items until my sister gave me this lip gloss. I did not know Philosophy had this flavor but I was glad she picked it out. 
By the name alone I knew I would like it because I love the way coconut frosting tastes and smells. It reminds me of the seven minute coconut icing my late grandmother use to make. 

It does not smell as good as grandma's icing but it is pretty good. I love the smell of the lip gloss and would love to buy it for myself soon! 


I almost forget to say that it looks like it has flecks of glitter but it doesn't. I  like  how 

Nicole Miller New York Nail Polish 










I saw this at Marshalls and I had to try because it has been a while since I brought nail polish. 



 I have not tried all of them yet. But my favorite so far is burgundy color. The polish is such a lovely color and I believe it would look good on most people. 
It lasted pretty long before it started chipping. It was also easy to get off with. 






Beekman 1802 Oak Moss Goat Milk Hand Wash




The Beekman 1802 Oak MOss Goat Milk Hand Wash , Here; $20

The Beekman Hand Wash is another item my sister gave me. I was not completely sold on the product when she first told me about it.  

  I never tried a body or hand care product that included goats milk before! It seemed kind of strange to me but I tried it! She ordered it from HSN. 

 This hand wash smells wonderful. It does not smell too strong but it has a nice scent that lasts a long time.

 Not only did it make my hands smell wonderful but it left my hands smooth. My hands were not dry and cracked from using this hand wash daily. It so much better than my normal hand wash I get each month.

It may cost more but I think it is good investment if you want to keep your hands soft and smooth. It is also great for people who have sensitive skin. There are other products that I have included on my Current Faves Page. 






Mrs. Prindable's Peanut Caramel Apple with Chocolate Chips 









 When my sister ordered this box I already knew the Caramel Peanut Apple would become my favorite because I always liked a traditional caramel apple with honey roasted nuts.
 The other two flavors were sugar cookie and the other triple chip flavor. This one was the least of the sweetest apples which was fine with me. I really don't like my caramel apples to be too sweet, so this one was just right. 

The caramel was not too sweet or sticky. It did not melt nor did it become too hard when placed in the refrigerator. The apple did not turn brown or soggy. But I really did not keep my apple that long because I eat it about a week after getting it! 
These apples are no longer available because it was a seasonal promotion on QVC. 

Hershey Kisses Hot Cocoa and Nestle Mini Mallows Hot Milk Chocolate Mix 




 I had a coupon for Hot cocoa Hershey Kisses, so I decided to buy it since it was a good deal (buy one get one free. I also wanted to get it because I like trying different flavors of candy from my favorite brands. 
I knew this would be good because Hershey Kisses usually comes up with excellent candy flavors. This one was pretty good. I would say it was was my favorite because I not big on marshmallows in chocolate candy. 
But it was not a whole lot of marshmallow on the inside and I was glad about that! 

 This product will be probably hard to find since Christmas is over but some stores may still have it in stock.

I wanted to buy Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate but Nestle Mini Marshmallow was all Walmart had at the time. And I am glad that incident happened because this tastes better than Swiss Miss. 

 It is rich and chocolatey and tastes good to the last drop. I also like how I don't have to buy marshmallows to put in my cocoa. 

M&M's Mini Milk Chocolate Bar 



I know it seems like I hate a lot of chocolate but I did not consume all of this stuff in one day and I shared with others! lol

 I brought this candy bar because I remember years ago that Mars had a m&m bar that had mini m&ms inside. But I believe it was discontinued because I never see it again. 

 But recently Mars brought out several M&M's minis Milk Chocolate Bars. This one is different than the first because it quite larger and includes other items besides the mini M&M's. The one I brought includes almonds. 
I like the way the bar tasted. It was not too sweet nor was it bland. 
It bring back fond memories of the other candy bar. I just wished it had more mini M&M's since it is the main ingredient. 

Baublebar Initial Necklace

This is another item my sister gave me and I love it! 


It has been a long time since I owned anything with my initial on it. I think the last time I brought something like that I was in highschool. 


I love the fact it is a gold necklace and the fact the L is not too big. I wish the chain was longer. 

Conclusion:

Overall, I was able to try a lot of different things in December. Since it was around the holiday season there were so many new things to taste, wear, and listen to.
