Make sure to prioritize back-to-school supplies as the first item on your list. Some sales start in July but hold off until August. Look for deals on bookbags at your local department stores. To find school supplies, check out supply stores or retailers such as Target and Walmart. Don’t forget to get your coupon codes online. Check your local newspaper and look online at Retail Me Not or Ebates. However, your kids are returning to school. There are ways to save some money this year. Tips to Save on Back-to-School Shopping Even if you are not going back to school or have kids, this is a wonderful time to score deals on your blog or office supplies.
Price comparison before you go to the store
Look up online or in your local newspaper to see what stores have on sale.
Buy calculators from your dollar store
Your local dollar store will have the best deals on a basic calculator. It’s unlikely that you’ll come across Texas Instruments graphics at the dollar store, so try looking for them at your local office supply store.
Find your coupons
Look for coupons on your favorite brands such as Bic, Kleenex, and Post-it. Look for these coupons in your local newspaper. You may find some in your favorite magazines.
Take advantage of card discounts
If you have a card at Walgreens or CVS, use it. You will score major deals on school supplies.
Use the store app when you shop, if you want to get more deals and savings.

2. Skip: Major AppliancesWait until September to buy appliances. It’s around this time that Labor Day deals usually kick-off.
When that time comes, you can buy mattresses, appliances, and home decor.
3. Buy: Outdoor Items
As autumn approaches, stores are seeking to clear out their outdoor merchandise. If you want to redecorate your outside patio or deck, this is the time to buy it. Stores are also having sales on lawn equipment like lawnmowers. Look for deals at Home Depot, Target, and Lowes.

If you are not doing remote learning hold off until fall or Black Friday deals.
5. Skip: Fall Apparel
Even though Nordstrom is having an excellent sale on fall clothing most stores are not having sales or discounts on this clothing. Wait until October or November to score major deals on fall apparel.

Even if your child is staying at home, getting an apartment, or dorm you can buy new furniture. There are a lot of deals going on that will allow your college student to get the room of their dreams.

Since autumn is almost over, this is the right time to get swimsuits, shorts, and summer shoes. Stores are trying to move these items out. To make room for fall and winter apparel. Look for deals at Target, H&M, and J. Crew Factory.
