How to clean your jewelry

Tips on how to keep your jewelry clean. If the pieces are not real gold or silver, you have to keep in mind they are not as durable.

1. One of the main tips is to take your jewelry off before using harsh chemicals, such as bleach or oil.

2. Avoid applying lotions, creams, or serums when wearing your jewelry. The chemicals may cause your jewelry to become dirty or damaged.

3. Take jewelry off before going into the pool or working out.

4. Store your jewelry in a cloth or plastic pouch when not wearing.

5. If the item is gold plated, use a clean, soft cloth to get rid of any sweat, lotions, or smudges. For a deeper clean use, a soft cloth and mild dish detergent to get rid of any gunk or stains. First place jewelry in a small bowl or container. Fill the bowl with warm water and a few drops of mild dish detergent. Add one piece of jewelry and let it soak for five to ten minutes. Then use a clean cotton swab or small brush to get rid of any dirt or grime on the cervices of your jewelry. Then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

6. For pieces that have stones you will have to be gentler in cleaning that does not involve soaking. First, clean off with a cloth. Then use a damp cotton swab that has been soaked in a mild soap to get rid of grim.

7. If the item costs a lot or is precious to you find a professional to clean it.

Conclusion,

It is hard to find affordable jewelry. You just have to take time to find the piece that suits your budget and your tastes.
