Think about your planned activities.

Make your packing or buying decisions according to your vacation activities. If you plan on being at the beach a lot, you will need a swimsuit. Going for a hike, you will need hiking boots. If you want to dance all night, bring shoes you can dance in.

What to Bring Based on Where You are Going

Going somewhere hot

Buy cool clothing.

No, I am not talking about looking hip but not wearing clothing that makes you sweat! Pick breathable fabrics such as cotton or jersey.

Going on somewhere cool

Try Layering

Bring items that can be mixed and matched to give you plenty of outfits without a lot of clothes.

Layering lightweight items is easy.

Bring items that you can layer, such as a sleeveless maxi dress.

A cardigan is a staple to have because you can use it to layer it or if the temperature changes when you travel.

Going to a rainy location

Some locations have a reputation for heavy downpours. A. Those who are going to a location like that you must pack your rain gear. Bring a raincoat, rain scarf, or umbrella.

Variety is the Key

Remember to bring both comfortable and fashionable shoes for different occasions. Bring a blouse that you don’t have to worry about getting wrinkled or stained. A T-shirt is great because you can layer it, dress it up or down!

Low Maintenance is the way to go!

Bring items that do not wrinkle when packed.

Jersey items are perfect for travel because they do not have to be ironed. Bring items that do not stain or hold scents.

Add Accessories

Get a few of your colorful scarves, earrings, and bags. By incorporating neutral fashion items, you can add accessories for a fun twist to your outfit. Bring one piece you can wear to a special event.

Bring a streamer.

Some materials tend to wrinkle, bring a steamer with you. A steamer is an easy way to get wrinkles out of your clothing.

How Should I Pack My Wardrobe Staples

When to fold?

Fold your button-downs, jeans, dresses, and any bulky items. This should cause fewer wrinkles.

Try rolling items

Roll certain clothing items to prevent excessive wrinkling. Only do these with small thin items such as t-shirts or underwear.

Use Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are ideal for going on longer trips or need to pack a large number of items. Using packing cubes will help you make more. Cubes compress larger items. The cubes will also allow your suitcase or bag to be organized. You can sort items in different cubes or pouches, which will allow you to find your items faster. It also allows you to have fewer wrinkles. You can also separate your clean items from your dirty items. You use them and find ones that are in your budget.

Put on your heaviest items on the plane.

For example, if you have hiking boots, where are those on your travels? By doing this, you can free up space in your carry-on. Wear your jacket or cardigan on your plane ride.
